Privacy policy
How Brass Bells collects, uses and protects personal data. Last updated 13 October 2026.
01 Who we are
This website, brassbells.in, is run by Brass Bells, the brassware business of Sun Shield Store, Pala Road, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Contact us about privacy at [email protected] or +91 88996 14166.
02 What we collect
- Enquiries and quote requests. When you use a quote form, the quote basket or the contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number (optional), your message, and the products and quantities you asked about.
- Your quote basket and currency choice. These are stored in your own browser (local storage) so they survive between visits. They are not sent to us until you submit a quote request.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how people find us, and Microsoft Clarity to see anonymised session recordings and heatmaps. Both use cookies and collect device, browser, approximate location and usage information.
- Click heatmap. Our own tool records where on a page clicks happen (page address, position and screen size). It does not record who you are.
- Search and blog statistics. When you search the catalogue or read a blog post, we log the search term or page view together with your IP address and browser type, to measure demand and count unique readers.
- Email. If we email you, our email provider (Mailgun) tells us whether the message was delivered, opened or clicked, along with the IP address and browser used, so we can follow up appropriately.
- Technical data. Our servers and our network provider (Cloudflare) process IP addresses and request details to deliver the site securely. We set essential session and security cookies (
laravel_session,XSRF-TOKEN) needed for forms to work.
03 How we use it, and why
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare quotations and process orders, which is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To keep a record of business contacts and follow up on enquiries, and to send occasional B2B product introductions to business email addresses, based on our legitimate interest in running our export business. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honour it.
- To understand and improve the website using analytics, based on our legitimate interests or, where the law requires it, your consent.
- To keep the website secure and to meet tax, export and legal record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that affect you.
04 Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the business, under their own privacy and security commitments: our web host, Cloudflare (network and security), Google (Analytics, and Google Maps on our contact page), Microsoft (Clarity), Mailgun (email delivery) and WhatsApp (Meta) when you choose to message us there. Shipping companies and customs agents receive the delivery details needed for an order. We may disclose data where required by law.
Some of these providers process data outside India and outside your country, including in the United States. Where data protection law requires it, these transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual safeguards.
05 How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as needed to respond to you and maintain our business relationship, and longer where tax or export rules require us to keep order records. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the analytics providers. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).
06 Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, to withdraw consent, and to receive your data in a portable format. You can unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email. To make a request, email [email protected]; we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
07 Cookies and choices
Essential cookies keep forms and security working and cannot be switched off. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics: _ga, _ga_*; Microsoft Clarity: _clck, _clsk) help us measure use of the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics. The map on our contact page is provided by Google and may set Google cookies when it loads.
08 Children and changes
This website is intended for business buyers and is not directed at children. We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version.
